A short, plain-English dictionary for the words that show up in style lines and in these lessons. If a term in a prompt feels vague to you, it is probably vague to the model too.

Why do some terms mean different things in different genres?
Because they describe relative qualities. Heavy in folk and heavy in metal point at very different sounds, so the genre word does a lot of the defining.
Is there a canonical vocabulary?
No. There are terms that are widely understood and terms that are not, and the practical test is whether the output changes when you add one.
How do I test whether a term does anything?
Generate with and without it, everything else held constant, and listen for a difference you can name.
