Audit a shapeless song, add the missing sections, and fix a chorus that refuses to lift.
Diagnose this track
A generation comes back as three minutes of the same texture. The lyric has four sections, all tagged `[Verse]`, all eight lines long, all in the same phrasing. There is no intro, and it ends with a fade. Before reading on, list what you would change.
- No chorus at all — nothing repeats, so nothing is memorable.
- Equal section lengths give the model no reason to vary the arrangement.
- No intro, so the opening bars waste the framing opportunity.
- A fade-out ending signals that no outro was requested.
- No build anywhere, so even a chorus would have nothing to land against.
Rebuild it in five moves
- Convert sections two and four into `[Chorus]` with identical, shorter lyrics.
- Add a short `[Intro]` that states the signature instrument.
- Strip the verses: fewer instruments, narrower image, lower melody.
- Add a four-bar build before the first chorus, described by what is removed.
- Replace the fade with a named ending — held chord or intro callback.
Self-check questions
Can you state, in one sentence each, the job of a verse, a chorus, a bridge and an outro? Can you name three build techniques that do not involve a riser? Can you list the five chorus-lift mechanisms? If any of those is shaky, the relevant lesson in this unit is the one to revisit before moving on to production.

Take the flattest track you have generated so far and apply all five rebuild moves at once. Keep the style prompt byte-for-byte identical so the only variable is structure. If the new version sounds like a different song, you have proved to yourself that arrangement — not style vocabulary — was the bottleneck.
